OG N.84 is a blend of 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. This is an age-worthy and elegant white produced from all-estate fruit and barrel-fermented in neutral French oak. Selling for over $30/bottle out of the winery, it makes a unique and compelling offering for the equivalent of $9/bottle in this mixed case. This would be great with spicy Indian food.

Pale- to medium-yellow. The nose is tightly wound but loosens up in phases that reveal excellent complexity. Peach, pineapple and lanolin are haloed with honeysuckle blossom, sandalwood and a kiss of petrol. With air, starfruit and lemon oil emerge. Warm and viscous on entry, but your palate is swept clean by a knife blade of chalky, apple skin minerality revealing pretty peach and starfruit in a surprisingly long finish. There are gobs of stuffing to this wine and it should age nicely for another 5-8 years.

Check-in tasting 7.6.2021 - Flat-out gorgeous...wide-open bouquet with excellent viscosity on entry perfectly balanced with minerality and tremendous length. 15 cases left so grab it before it gone. 91-points, Gold Medal Critics Challenge Wine Competition
