Inky, deep ruby in the glass. Meaty and brooding on the nose with ethereal notes of lavender and graphite managing to escape the abyss. With air, subtle, elegantly delineated graphite, black plum and cassis starting to peek through all the dark structure. Yes, this wine is deeply bottle shocked right now but its going to be fabulous, I promise. Its all here, gobs of structure, great acidity and fine french oak tannins focusing the mouthfeel and finishing with layers of graham cracker, black pepper and graphite.The fruit will come as this wine grows more agile in the bottle.
