Wine Details & Tasting Notes

$60/bottle under the original label

Oh man, what a mouthful of Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit was was sourced from two of Washington States most legendary vineyards, Champoux and Phinney Hill (located right next to each other in Horse Heaven Hills) and produced by one of Washington States most-respected producers. Both sites are renowned for their fine, dark tannins and beautifully-balanced fruit. Grace, elegance, power and precision are exquisitely captured by today's offering.

The source winery offers this wine for $60+/bottle and routinely scores in the 91-93 point range with major critics. And that's all I can say about that.

Hell of a deal at $19/bottle - that much I can assure you.

Dark in the glass, deep ruby and just a shade off of opaque. Bottled 12/18, this wine is still emerging from shock and pungent with seasoned oak, ripe but fresh cassis and cherry fruits and a deep plum backbone. Rich and chewy on the palate with robust tannins well integrated with ripe but nicely attenuated fruit finishing with an amalgam of dark chocolate and plum riding red rock infused mineral tannins. The values of precision and grace are deeply evident in this rich, dark, powerful wine.

85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot
50% new French oak
