Lot 16 | 2019 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 750ml

We blended two parcels together from top $40-$50 Napa Sauvignon Blanc producers (yes, Napa producers sourcing from SoCo) to create a gorgeous wine better than the sum of its parts.

One parcel is 100% barrel fermented and the other is fermented in a variety of vessels including an array of new French oak barrels, concrete eggs and stainless steel barrels for lees contact. The fruit is sourced from top vineyard sites in Sonoma Mountain, Dry Creek and Knights Valley AVA's. The result is a sumptuous yet electric experience that, for $13.50/bottle, will blow your mind.

Jumps out of the glass with pink grapefruit, ripe honeydew melon, white peach, lemon oil, and fresh cut lemongrass aromatics. The palate is a cool breeze in the warmth of the garden showing great balance, tension and precision. Bright guava, juicy stone fruit, and hints of pineapple pair with a grapefruit acidity that lead to a long finish and a little anaheim chile kick. Frequent lees bâtonnage for both parcels adds a kiss of creaminess and more layers of complexity. This beautiful wine will age gracefully for another 5-8+ years.
