2018 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon

Inky black in the glass. The classic Atlas Peak aromas of cherries jubilee, raspberries and fresh-turned black earth, white flowers, wet rock, mocha and fresh asphalt are ever-changing and ethereal in this freshly bottled, and still shocky, Cabernet (bottled June 25). Supple on entry with ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit and an acacia flower halo just beginning to coalesce and stretch out over the tannins, its already showing well and should be drinking nicely by mid-August. Of course, the best of this wine is still to come and I think its will be wonderfully approachable by this Fall.
