N.27 is the first of three hillside vineyard release all from the same producer. The common thread here is hillside vineyards at elevation in the Vaca Mountain range. Each wine is elegantly structured and beautifully delineated with a strong sense of place. Clearly these are expertly made with a deft hand. My favorite part is the gorgeously perfumed aromatics. 60-70% new French oak, 14.7% alc. Bottled July 21st.

Sourced from the producers estate vineyard in the foothills of Howell Mountain but just a stones throw outside the official AVA, N.27 Cabernet features mouth-watering red fruits and spice - black cherry, brown sugar, hot cinnamon, leather - and is smooth and fleshy on the palate with dark chocolate, cherry, fine french oak tannins and lightly toasted oak on the finish. Fantastic length and complexity.
