On offer today is the the producer's blend (not Ciel du Cheval) with consistent low 90's scores for the past two vintages from Antonio Galloni and The Wine Spectator. Opaque and brooding in the glass yet very effusive and redolent with aromas of white flower, iron, plum, and meaty blueberry and blackberry with red rock and black pepper laced throughout. Supple on entry with plum and blackberry spreading out over robust, graphite-and red rock-laden tannins in a long, layered finish. Muscular and savory, this spectacular red blend is perfectly emblematic of Red Mountain AVA.
