Wine Details & Tasting Notes

Like lush, rich, buttery Chardonnay?

Have I got the Rosé for you.

Rosé D'Anjou.

Not because its "oaky" per se, but because the rich fruit and lush mouthfeel is similar to a barrel-fermented, full malolactic fermentation chardonnay.

Rich, ripe, and absolutely brimming with fruit, Lot 294 is a gorgeous, juicy wine with potent acidity beautifully balanced with a kiss of residual sugar (9 g/l). It finishes clean and fresh and has the effect of feeling like a dry wine. In fact, I had no idea it had any RS until the producer sent me the lab report.

This is an absolutely delicious wine on its own but also a fantastic food wine. It will pair well with just about anything spicy like Indian or Mexican or just as a picnic aperitif. Cold cuts, charcuterie plates, lamb burgers and the list goes on and on.

Pink cherry in the glass with just a hint of lilac. Effusive bouquet of raspberry, rose petal,  and red current are mineral-fresh and lifted adding wild strawberry essence, slate and a kiss of menthol with air. Smooth and balanced on entry turning rich and lush with red fruits but always balanced on a pretty beam of slatey minerality. Finishes clean and long and fresh. Drink over the next 2-3 years.
