Lot 621 is the latest chapter in a long love letter to the great Bordeaux Blancs from our source – a marriage of Old World elegance with New World luxury. Remarkably smooth and refined, we agreed to keep blend details on the low so the list of its possible origins wasn’t immediately obvious, but one sip (perhaps just a whiff) of this “White Meritage” announces its pedigree in unmistakable fashion.

Wonderfully expressive and distinctly Bordelaise in profile, the nose boasts a beautiful combination of both fruit and floral qualities. Grapefruit and lime mingle with white blossoms, accented by hints of peach and elderflower. On the palate, citrus curd, saline, and herbs parade in a smooth, round presentation framed by exceptionally balanced acidity and minerality. The dry, lingering finish begins with a flicker of ginger spice that unfolds into uplifted citrus umami and wet stone that exits clean. A refined, impressive white of uncommon poise.
